I Think I'm Cursed Combines Editorial with Illustration

This editorial is about a persona, inspired by 1870’s female contortion artists, drag queens’ references, horror movies combined with personal thoughts and expressed through colourful symbols. Creating this arc for the character was important , in order to show how troubled she is in her thoughts, overthinking, pressured by society’s standards and having guilts that led her to unrealistic expectations and doubting herself, her initial motive. The contradiction of looking so over the top equipped with surreal skills and what can actually happen in one’s mind aimed to give a behind the scenes feeling that focuses on empathy.
