Joe Hegyes and Andrew Muscarella first met when they were four years old, at the side of a pool outside a Hard Rock Hotel. “It’s hard not to spot another gay boy,” Andrews says, “I probably saw Joe twirling and thought, yeah, that’s absolutely going to be my bestie for life”.

Through their Italian-American childhoods in Long Island, closeted teen years and eventually moving in together, there’s always been one constant in their lives – each other. And the culmination of a lifetime of friendship, naturally, was starting their podcast, Good Children. “We’ve both pushed each other to grow in directions we didn’t think were possible. Seeing that reflected in our audiences’ eyes has only made it clearer how rare a friendship like that is,” reflects Joe.

In their podcast, Joe and Andrew dive into their young lives as quintessential ‘good children’ and explore how that’s shaped who they are today. “The idea for this podcast came from discovering the concept of ‘Good Child Syndrome’ which really put a lot into perspective for us”, explains Andrew.
