Obsessions: Kim Thompson on the Radical Potential of Horror Films

Every other week we'll be picking the brain of a different creative about something they admire that has nothing to do with how they generate their income.

Delving deep into the minds of our favourite people's deepest obsessions, this week we're joined by the amazing Kim Thompson. An illustrative artist, Kim creates work around the themes of folk horror, retro glam, and nasty women; and will be telling us all about her obsession with horror films. For Kim, the horror genre is full of possibilities to change our world; and we'll be discussing representation, gore, new-horror classics, female violence, feminism in the horror genre and much more.

The Polyester Podcast is brought to you by Polyester's founding editor in chief Ione Gamble (@ionegamble), and co-hosted and produced by Olivia Graham (@og.irl). Polyester is a self published culture zine exploring intersectional URL feminism in the IRL world. Have faith in your own bad taste!
