How to Make a Valentine's Day Self-Love Spell Candle
You will need:
1 glass jar
Red Dye (For the dye, I’ll be using LiquiDye in Poppy Red, using a few drops to create pink. Another option for dye is flakes, such as the brand Bekro.)
Soy wax
1 candle wick
Double sided tape
Rose essential oil or Rose fragrance oil
1 Rose Quartz, or many Rose Quartz pieces
A Sprinkle of…
Eucalyptus Leaf
Peppermint
Rose petals
Biodegradable candle glitter (optional)

Step 1:
I’m using a 250ml glass container, so the measurements will be catered to this. If you’re using a different size, I recommend filling the wax to the top of your container and adding a scoop extra to make sure there’ll be enough to fill to the top once melted. I always use soya wax, it is vegan and has a nice, clean burn!
Find 5 to 10% of the wax weight you’re using, and use this number for the weight of your essential or fragrance oil. I usually go for 8 to 10% so it really comes through.
Step 2:
Fill a saucepan with water and put it on the stovetop on low to medium heat. Place another saucepan filled with the wax in the water-filled pan. Let the wax slowly melt and then add your dye and fragrance after taking it off the heat.
Step 3:
Stick the wick to the bottom of the jar with some double-sided tape and use a peg to keep it in place. Carefully pour in all the wax and let it sit for about an hour, or until the top is half-set.
Step 4:
Sprinkle on the eucalyptus, peppermint, rose, and glitter. After the candle is pretty much fully set, add the rose quartz. (If you add the crystals too soon, they may break the top layer and sink into the candle, so make sure it has a firm top layer!)
Step 5:
After 24 hours, it’ll be ready to light!
