Rituals - A Photographic Meditation on Growing Up

Make it stand out

These images are part of a bigger project which strives to portray the complex dynamics of change taking place during adolescence, observed through the filter of ritual practices: the longing to fit in, the small, awkward changes in your body, the growing distance from your family and religion, the boredom in the every day life. The subjects are exclusively young women, shown in their fragile intimacy, constantly swinging between their everyday life and a tension towards the elsewhere.
