New Year Spell Guide
___STEADY_PAYWALL___
1. Burning Bay Leaves for Wishes
Simply write something you want to bring into your life, whether that be happiness, money, or new opportunities, and light it in a fireproof container. Whilst it burns, imagine the thing you want taking form in the energy around you. Visualise it and believe it, as if you already have it.
2. Candle Spell for Purification
Any time we embrace new beginnings to a perfect time for cleansing and purifying ourselves from any negative energy or bad habits that have latched onto us throughout the past year. Candle magic is great for this, as it’s simple yet so versatile for any of your specific needs. Here’s how to anoint a candle using oils and herbs that correspond to purification and healing:
1 White or Black Candle
Pine Essential Oil
Cypress Essential Oil
Clove Essential Oil
Eucalyptus Leaves
Rosemary
Place your candle on some foil and cover with a few drops of each of the oils. Rub the oil into the candle and then sprinkle on the herbs. Use the foil to help you roll the candle and have the herbs stick.
You can use this candle during meditation, or a candlelit ritual bath.
3. Herbal Tea for Transformation and Strength
Tea is a very pleasant way to incorporate magic into your everyday life. Even a cup of average black tea can be used to banish negativity if the intentions are there.
NOTE: make sure you research any herbs you’re unfamiliar with, especially if you have known allergies. Do not consume Mugwort if pregnant.
1 Teaspoon of Mugwort
1 Teaspoon of Butterfly Pea
1 Teaspoon of Chamomile
A Squeeze of Lemon Juice
Combine the herbs in a strainer or a cafetiere. Add hot water and let the tea steep for around 10 minutes. The Butterfly Pea will make the tea blue, and if you add something acidic like a drop of lemon, it will transform into a gorgeous vivid purple. As you watch the tea change colour, think of yourself changing for the better. What do you want out of this new year? Who is it that you really want to be? Visualise your ideal self as you sip on this tea, preferably before some meditation.
