To celebrate the one year anniversary of the launch of our first zine we invite contributors past and present, as well as the Polyester team, to curate a full day of feminist n queer workshops and panels. ʸ(ᴖ́◡ु⚈᷉)♡⃛

After Amy Exton creates a set, Maisie Cousins shoots live members of the audience in an interactive photo shoot lasting the duration of the day.

Known for other-wordly dreamy sets, Dora will be using the day to host an interactive set design workshop & creating a utopian psychedelic dreamscape for Dream Wife to perform in later that day. Learn the tricks of the trade and what really goes in to creating your fave fashion editorial.

Dora Miller is a London based set designer from London. Her recent clients include WAH nails salon (interior), Vogue Mexico, Vogue Italia online, Showstudio, & collaborative projects with Louby Mcloughlin & Charlotte Rutherford . 

GET YA NAILS DONE BY NAIL TRANSPHOBIA

Free manicures throughout the day by Charlie Craggs, founder of Nail Transphobia.

Nail Transphobia is a charitable campaign that aims to create trans allies and tackle transphobia in the most fabulous way possible, through nail art.  Essentially, people come to our events, get their nails done for free in our custom design and then upload a sassy nailfie (a nail selfie, duh) to social media with the hashtag #NailTransphobia to show their support to the trans community. Designer and co-curator of Female Matters, 24 year old Clio Peppiatt launched her label in 2014. Her garments are instantly  identifiable through their intricate prints, vibrant colours, textile innovation and underlying tongue-in-cheek sense of humour. Outside of this, she manages two bands, Dream Wife and Saint Sister, and is currently establishing her own artist management company, ‘Drip’. She is also a freelance journalist and contributes to the likes of Crack, Clash, Line of Best Fit and as of last week, Easyjet.

A DISCUSSION ON 21ST CENTURY ACTIVISM AND HOW WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

NICOLA FIELD- AUTHOR, ORIGINAL MEMBER OF LESBIANS AND GAYS SUPPORT THE MINERS.

Nicola Field is a renowned LGBT activist, the author of Over the Rainbow: Money, Class and Homophobia, and an original member of the group Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners, the story of which was recently dramatised in the 2014 film Pride. She is currently writing a book on Pride, Pinkwashing and the Politics of Class and continues to be an inspiration to new generations of activists. www.nicolafield.co.uk

Abortion Rights is the national pro-choice campaign. We are campaigning to defend and extend women’s rights and access to safe, legal abortion. We oppose any attack on the 1967 Abortion Act including any attempt to lower the abortion time limit.
